Yes to all, except mattresses.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS - Do you take bookcases? What about other types of furniture.

Yes, we take bookcases. In the Fall 2012 sale, we began taking all kinds of furniture - not just that in a child's room. However, it must be like new. Mirrors, lamps, desks, bed frames, etc. They just have to be in great condition. This isn't a yard sale. No appliances though.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS - I have a drop down crib that has been properly fixed. The manufacter sent me a repair kit. Can I consign it?

Please see our "Acceptable Items" page about the crib. There is a link to our recall page that provides a check list for you. It is required that you bring in this checklist to consign any crib.

As long as it's in great condition.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS - I have my child's initials written on the tag on the inside of his shirt. Is this acceptable to consign?

Yes. That is not seen when wearing. As long as it meets our standards, we'll take it.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS - Do you accept potty chairs?

Yes...but they must be very clean!

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS - What about for the fall sale, do you accept shorts?

Yes, we'll accept 5 shorts per consignor for our Fall/Winter sale.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS - Do you take formal / prom dresses? (for juniors / teenagers)

Sorry, we no longer take formal or prom dresses for junior sizes.

Yes. We take those.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS - Do you take books for teens?

Yes. But only those that do not have violent, sexual, or witchcraft themes.

CONSIGNING - The deadline to register has passed. What can I do to consign?

Sorry, but once registration has passed, you will not be able to consign with us prior to Tuesday (when the private sale begins.) However, you may still participate in our RESTOCK. See the CONSIGNOR HOME page for that info. Also, if you get on our mailing list, we'll email you about 6-8 weeks before the next sale to remind you to register.

CONSIGNING - Can I register after the sale begins?

No. Registration ends before drop-off begins. It's time to shop now!

CONSIGNING - On my sold items, why are my estimated earnings a little different than how I calculate them?

The computer sets estimated earnings in increments of five. Your estimated earnings are at the 66.6% setting. But you'll actually get more (less your consignor fee, if applicable.) Consignors get 66.67% when the check is calculated. That's why they're labeled "estimated" earnings. We know it's only .01% but you will a get penny or two more.

CONSIGNING - When entering items, I can only view 5 items at a time. How can I see everything?

Click on the tab just above your items list that enables you to view all of them.

CONSIGNING - "A family emergency came up and I will not be able to participate in the sale. I've already entered in my items. What do I do?"

Well, you may want to first see if a friend or family member would like to drop-off and pick up your items for you. That way, all that time entering would not be wasted. But if that is not an option, it will help us if you "unregister." Just log back into your account and click the "unregister" button. You do NOT need to contact us to let us know you will not be coming to the sale or bringing in your items. You also will not need to do anything with your inventory. Just leave it alone and you will have it in your inactive inventory. This will save you time at the next sale.

CONSIGNING - I've entered all my items but I just found out my sister is pregnant! Yeah! I want to give her some of my consigned baby items. What do I do about those items?

Yeah for sister! Just give them to her. Now you can delete those items off of your inventory but we really don't recommend you doing that until the sale is actually over. It will lead to confusion on your end.

CONSIGNING - I don't have a personal computer. Can I write out my tags?

No. Our entire system is automated. Try to find a friend who will let you use their computer to do your tagging (or the public library).

DONATING - Can I get a donation receipt for tax purposes?

Yep. After the sale concludes, you can print off a donation receipt from your account. Just follow the same instructions as if you are checking on your sold items. On your consignor log in page (that shows what you've earned and sold), you'll also see a link for your donations. *This only is for items that were ENTERED as donated. This does not include items you chose later once the sale begin. Nor does this include restock items.

DONATING ITEMS - I've since decided to donate my unsold items. What do I do at pick-up?

Well, if you want your check immediately, you'll need to come to pick-up. If you're in no hurry, we'll mail it to you. About your items, they are automatically donated at 6pm on Saturday if not picked up. There is no need to contact us to tell us that you've changed your mind.

DROP OFF - Do I have to have my items with the tags on them when I come to drop off / inspection?

Yes. At drop off, your items must have the printed tag attached to the item. If its clothing, it must be on a hanger. After passing inspection, your items will then go directly to the sale floor.

DROP OFF - I have so many items, I can't make it in one trip. What do I do?

Sign up for two separate drop off times. You'll need two inspections.

DROP OFF - I'm working during drop off. Do I still need to sign up for a drop off slot?

Yes. We encourage you to schedule your drop off right before or after your work shift.

DROP OFF - Will I have to set up my crib at drop off?

Only if you want it to sell. Unassembled cribs never sell. The shopper needs to see that all the pieces are there and everything works. We may be able to help you though. However, it's your crib and you know better than anyone how to set it up. Bring hubby along and let him set it up while you put your other items out on the sale floor.

DROP OFF - If I'm sick or out of town can someone else drop off my items?

Sure. They'll still have to follow the procedures though...checking in, putting up items...but we'll help them.

HANGERS - Do I have to supply my own hangers? And will they be returned to me after the sale.

Consignors must provide their own hangers. All clothing items at drop off must already be on a hanger and tagged. When your item is sold, the hanger is sold with it. They are not returned.

HANGING ITEMS - I have some store hangers. Can I hang a 2T item on a hanger labeled 3T?

Yes. We hang according to the size on the printed tag.

LOCATION - Is the Expo Center the same as the Crown Coliseum?

Well, sort of. The entire Crown Coliseum Complex consists of the coliseum itself, the arena, the EXPO center, and a ballroom. The Expo Center entrance is on East Mountain Dr.

MILITARY MOMS - Can my friend or family member who does NOT have military ID shop early with me?

All adults must have military ID. Security will not allow you in if you are over 18 and do not have military ID.

MILITARY SHOPPING - Do I need a pass to shop during the military shopping?

No, just your military ID will get you in. We do recommend you get on our mailing list though. We'll remind you via email of the shopping times.

MILITARY SHOPPING - I have family from out of town that are not military. Can they get into the sale during military shopping on my military ID?

No. The sheriff deputies will only allow those with military ID into the doors during military shopping. We recommend you consigning and shopping even earlier. You'll see that it pays to get in as soon as you can. Less crowded shopping and more selection.

PASSES - What are the rules for early Tuesday shopping for volunteers, consignors, new moms and military moms?

ALL VOLUNTEERS / CONSIGNORS - Only adults WITH passes may enter. The only exception is you may bring ONE OTHER adult with you you that is either your spouse OR your parent (i.e. mother/mother-in-law). You may NOT bring a friend, sister, in-law, cousin, etc. with you during volunteer or consignor shopping. This also applies to the 50% off early shopping on Thursday evening. CONSIGNOR FRIENDS (Light Blue Pass / 2pm shopping) - Only adults WITH passes may enter. The only exception is you may bring ONE OTHER adult with you. FIRST TIME MOM - Only one adult may accompany you on your pass (that was emailed to you when you registered). This can be your husband, mom, sister, friend etc. Only 350 passes are being given out for this sale. MILITARY MOM/DAD - Military ID required for everyone except children under 18. Sheriff deputies will allow no exceptions. CHILDREN - All children 18 and under may enter when accompanied by an adult.

PICK-UP - Can someone else pick up my check and unsold items?

"No" on the check and "Yes" on the unsold items. ID will be required and they will need your name and consignor number to get your items. Let us know in advance if this is your plan. However, your check will be mailed to you for security reasons.

PICK-UP - I forgot to pick up my unsold items. Can I get them Monday?

No. We have to be out of the EXPO Center Saturday night. Leftover items and donated items have already been hauled off. We cannot store them. However, you can have someone else pick up your items if you need to (sick, out of town, etc.) They'll need ID and your name and consignor number. Email us if you are planning this.

PICK-UP - I sold almost everything and would like to donate what's left even though it wasn't marked to donate? What do I need to do?

Nothing. Any items left over will be donated. You do not need to contact us. Your check will be mailed to you a few days after that.

PRICING - I've decided to "not donate" or "not discount" some of my items that I've already printed out. What can I do?

Well, if the deadline to register/enter items has not passed, you're okay. Just edit your information for that item and re-print a new tag. Throw the old one away. If the deadline has passed and the sale has begun, you'll need to contact us immediately. There is a chance you can be helped but it will require YOU to do some work. We can't make adjustments in the computer once the deadline passes or the sale begins.

PRINTING - Where can I find cardstock?

Office Max, Office Depot, Wal-mart, etc.

PRINTING - My ink in my printer is running low and printing very lightly. What do I need to do? OR....My tags printed but smeared a little...what do I do?

Reprint. Very light or smudged barcodes will not scan. They have to be clear lines for proper scanning.

SHOPPING - Can consignors and volunteers shop during public days if we miss the private sale?

Yes. It's open to everyone.

SHOPPING - Do I have to consign to shop?

No. We're open to the public and that's when you can shop.

SHOPPING - Is there a fee to shop?

No.

SHOPPING - Can I bring my kids?

Yes. But it will be very crowded.

SHOPPING - Do you have shopping carts?

Some. They get taken fast. Consider bringing a large bag, laundry basket, or your husband.

SHOPPING - Do you have _________ at this sale?

We won't know for sure what all will be at our sale. Every sale we consistently have tons of clothing and toys, strollers, cribs, etc. However, if you're specifically looking for something, you'll just have to show up and see for yourself.

SHOPPING - Can you contact me if an item is still there on half-price day?

No. We're really, really busy.

SHOPPING - Can you negotiate a price for me?

No. These are not our items. Prices are set by the consignors who own that item until sold.

SHOPPING - Do you charge sales tax?

Yes, every consignment sale in NC is required by law to charge sales tax. We're being obedient.

SHOPPING - I'm a first time mom and the first time mom registration is closed. Can I still come?

We're sorry, but you'll have to wait until the public sale. We get several requests for this but we have to set a deadline at some point. See you at the public sale.

SHOPPING - Why aren't you open for anything on Sundays?

As Christians, we want to enjoy the day God has given us to worship and rest. And even though we pay rent for that day, we know that obeying Him is worth it. He's a big God and our family has learned by faith and from experience that He takes care of us. Honoring Him is more important than selling items or getting some extra work done. And as with all things, God can do more for us in a moment than we could do in an entire Sunday...or lifetime for that matter.

TAGGING - My printer did not print the star. Can I put one on there?

Sure. The barcode knows it's half price. However, the star lets the shopper know that too. But if you have a hand written star on an item not entered as "discount," it will not be discounted and we will have a dissatisfied shopper at check-out. We'll also notify you.

TAGGING - Can I mark my item to half price after the sale begins?

No. Once registration begins, you cannot change prices. And putting a discount star on your tag will not work. The computer will read only the barcode. Any tags scanned at half-price day will be priced as entered regardless of whether the star is visible or not. This is also a security measure.

TAGGING - How descriptive do I need to be on my tags?

Well, how bad do you want to sell your item if your tag comes off? The more descriptive, the easier it is to find your tag should it fall off. Also, it's a security issue in matching tags. Mention color, brand, any designs, etc. (i.e. "Pink Old Navy dress with white polka dots") Do not put just "jeans." Be descriptive.

TAGGING - I've decided to not bring in item # 16 that I've already entered. What do I do?

You can delete that item. Just know that the item number will also be deleted. So afterwards, you may have 30 total items but your last item number will be 31 - but #16 will be missing.

TAGGING - Should I tag any clothing sets with one or two tags?

One tag per set. But on the tag in the description, put on there that it is a set and be descriptive.

TAGGING - Where can I find hangers?

Dry cleaners usually give away metal hangers. Dollar stores, Wal-mart and other discount retailers usually have them, too. And we don't have any left over from the last sale.

TAGGING - When I have a set of something that I'm selling as one...like pajamas, do I need a tag for every piece in that set?

No. If you're selling them as a set, you'll only need one tag. Just be very descriptive that it's a set of 2, or 3, letting the shopper know all the pieces included.

TAGGING - My tag printed funny/weird. What do I do?

When you click to print your tags and the page comes up, do NOT print that page. Instead, click on FILE>PRINT PREVIEW and then print the "print preview" page.

TAGGING - Can I change a price after the registration deadline? Or during the sale?

No. Once it's on the sale floor, it's as is.

TAGGING - How do I put jeans/pants on the hanger? And where do I tag them?

Fold the jeans/pants over the hanger and put the tag on the pant's leg. Make sure you have a strong enough hanger that doesn't sag. This is usually only a concern with jeans for juniors and maternity.

TAGGING - How should I categorize a stroller, carseat, and infant carseat that all go together? I'm selling them as one set.

Under strollers.

TAGGING - How do I begin to write out my tags?

Well, you don't WRITE anything. It's all printed and done through the computer. First you register as a consignor. You do this on the Consignor Info page. After registering, go back to the Consignor Info page and click on the link "I Want To Enter My Items." From there, just follow the steps. *You'll be looking for the "consignor inventory" link in the pop-up window.

TAGGING - I found an item with a stain on it but it's already entered into the system. What do I do?

Leave it at home if you can't get the stain out.

TAGGING - Does it have to be white cardstock for the tags?

No, but it has to be light colored. Absolutely no paper, just cardstock.

TAGGING - Can I print my tags after the deadline for entering items has passed?

Yes. But remember, you can't edit or change prices - just print.

TAGGING - I clicked to donate my items, but now the sale has started, I've changed my mind and want them back. What can I do?

You will need to contact us or see us at the sale BEFORE it ends. There's nothing we can do, but there is something you could do but it will require work on your end. Because once the sale is over, all the marked donated items are immediately set aside and removed from the sale.

TAGGING - I have a toy with some extra small pieces. How do I secure it to the toy?

Put your printed tag on the larger toy. Put the smaller pieces in a ziploc. Write your consignor number and item number on the ziploc. This helps us if separated. Now tape the opening of the ziploc securely, and then tape the ziploc to the toy itself. This keeps it all together.

TAGGING - What do I do after all my items are entered?

Print them out and tag them on your items. Whatever you do, do NOT delete your items. They must remain in the system for the entire sale.

TAGS - What's the "D" above the barcode on the left of the tag?

That means you have chosen to donate this item.

VOLUNTEERING - Can my 16 year old daughter volunteer for me instead? Or my husband?

Yes. Children 16 and older may work in your place. Husbands are great too. Most dads would enjoy our Saturdays. There's more physical work involved then. But we can put them to work anytime.

VOLUNTEERING - Can my husband and I both work at the same time during one shift and it count towards two shifts?

Yes. But children do not count towards an additional shift unless they are 16 or older.

VOLUNTEERING - I want to be a super-volunteer. Do all 3 of my shifts have to be on the same day?

No. Feel free to schedule throughout the week.

VOLUNTEERING - Can I bring my child to my work shift?

Only children over 12 or little ones in a sling or backpack. Children in between these ages usually require more attention...or chasing around. However, only children 16 or older (WHO WORK) can count additional volunteer shifts. If we see them on their phones or shopping, we'll prohibit them from future volunteering.

VOLUNTEERING - Do I have to work my shift before the early shopping in order to be able to shop first?

Only if you are NOT consigning. All registered consignors who have brought in inventory to sell can work throughout the week and still can shop early on Tuesday. With consignors, deducting from their check for not showing up for their volunteer shift enables them to work after early shopping.

VOLUNTEERING - I'm not a consignor, but would still like to volunteer. Can I?

Yes. However, your shifts must be completed before Tuesday (private sale shopping.)
